Basmah Sahib, solicitor in our Public Law and Human Rights team, will be speaking at the Young Legal Aid Lawyers ‘Introduction to community care and mental health law’ seminar.

Taking place on Thursday 17 November, the seminar will bring together speakers from both disciplines to provide a taster of what these areas involve in practice, and to discuss why community care law and mental health law is important.

Basmah will speak alongside:

  • Tam Gill, Principal solicitor at Gledhill Gill Solicitors, Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Mental Health) and President of the Mental Health Lawyers Association
  • Bethan Harris, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers
  • Mitchell Woolf, Consultant Solicitor, Scott-Moncrieff and Associates Ltd, and legal manager at Access Social Care

The event will be chaired by Laura Janes, founder of Young Legal Aid Lawyers and consultant solicitor at GT Stewart and Scott-Moncrieff and Associates Ltd.
