UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) have announced further good news about the restoration of Priority and Super Priority Visas for new student visas. Recently, there have been significant visa processing delays for all types of visa, with the priority services suspended due to the Ukraine crisis.
As set out in an earlier post here, the UKVI is gradually restoring the priority services. These are now available for new student visa applicants and their dependents. Currently, student visas on average take three weeks to be processed, but it is now possible to pay for an expedited decision either on the working day after the biometric enrolment appointment (the Super Priority Visa service), or within five working days of the biometric enrolment appointment (the Priority Visa service).
August is a very busy month for student applications. Applications can be made up to six months ahead of the course starting, so the best advice is to apply as soon as the Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) has been issued, and you have all the supporting documents.
