We are pleased to announce that Ella Jefferson, solicitor in our Crime, Fraud and Regulatory team, has won the Modern Law Awards Rising Star of the Year Award.
The Rising Star of the Year Award celebrates those who demonstrate a high level of involvement within the legal profession and their area of practice, alongside their contribution to non fee-earning but industry related activities.
Ella is a highly respected lawyer who, at only four years PQE, has built a strong reputation in multiple disciplines within the legal profession. Her compassion, initiative and dedication to her work are recognised by clients and fellow professionals and highlight her significant contribution to legal services.
She has worked closely with Tayab Ali to establish the firm’s International Law practice, and is also recognised for her expertise in Protest law, with the Legal 500 recognising her as the ‘name to note for protest work’. Ella makes a conscious effort to make an impact within the firm, and the wider community, and does so whilst managing a demanding, complicated caseload.
Katie Wheatley, Head of the Crime, Fraud and Regulatory team, comments:
I’m delighted that Ella has won this award, it reflects the maturity and breadth of her practice which covers complex and sensitive criminal matters, and other work such as Inquests and International Law, alongside her contributions to the wider community, including through the mentoring of BAME women for the Centre for Women’s Justice’s Scheme for BAME women. She is an inspiration.
