Family and Matrimonial Law

Isobel Hubner

Isobel Hubner is a solicitor in our Family and Matrimonial team, specialising in all areas of family law.

Isobel has experience representing parents in cross-border children disputes, including child abduction proceedings pursuant to the 1980 Hague Convention and wardship proceedings.

Isobel also advises parents about arrangements for their children both in and out of court proceedings. These cases often involve allegations of domestic abuse and/ or child abuse.

Isobel also works with parents in care proceedings, often involving international elements or complex medical issues.

Isobel advises married couples, cohabitees and civil partners following relationship breakdowns, particularly in relation to the financial arrangements which might need to be concluded as part of their separation. Isobel has experience of advising on high net worth divorce and financial remedy cases including cases with international assets and complex business structures.

As a trainee, Isobel spent six months in our Media and Information Law team, working on a range of data protection and defamation cases. She assisted on cases involving a cross-over with family law e.g. obtaining compensation for children following data breaches by local authorities in adoption proceedings.

Isobel joined the family team as a paralegal 2022, began her training contract in 2023, and qualified as a solicitor in 2025.
