Shivani is a trainee solicitor in our Immigration, Asylum and Nationality team.
Shivani supports solicitors and partners on a wide-range of immigration matters for both private and publicly-funded client including:
- Visa applications for entry clearance and leave to remain for visitors, students, workers and family members
- Complex visa applications which are outside of the Immigration Rules
- Deportation and human rights appeals
- Applications for registration and naturalisation as a British citizen
Shivani previously worked in the Crime and Extradition team, where she assisted with a range of complex Crown Court cases and extradition matters in the High Court. Shivani also has experience in assisting with protest-related matters both in the Magistrates’ and Crown Court.
Before joining Bindmans, Shivani worked as a paralegal. She has also previously volunteered at the North Kensington Law Centre, supporting Grenfell victims.
Education and career
- Shivani is accredited as an IAAS Immigration Senior Caseworker
- She graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Classical Literature and English from the University of Leeds.
- She received her Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, achieving a distinction
- She joined Bindmans LLP as a paralegal in the Crime, Fraud and Regulatory team in December 2022 and became a trainee solicitor in September 2023
